The Emperor Napoleon I° Bonaparte chose Villa Mamoli as his temporary residence when, on the 28th of April 1796, he went to sign the armistice with the king Vittorio Amedeo III° Savoia in Cherasco.
Villa Mamoli is surrounded by the green hills of Bra city and it’s situated at a few minutes from the city centre.
A plate in cast iron inside the fireplace in the office near the kitchen reports the date 1520; the principal nucleus of the Villa date back to that period. The structure of the house was then enlarged in the half of 1700. In 1979 the present owner began the restoring and restructuring of the whole property.
Marquis Abrate and later the Marquises Incisa di Camerana lived in the Villa, which was surrounded by the park with Italian-style gardens, the little private Chapel, the stable and other buildings covering a large part of the hill.

Now the rich park surrounds the Villa and represents a little lung of the city.
